Bad Hair Day

Unfortunately, Jackson takes after his mommy in the hair dept....BIG!  I've tried to hold out and let it stay curly, but I can't take it any longer.  Today he goes in for a haircut.  I'll post the "after" pictures later.

All Aboard!

Jackson got a new train set and he LOVES it.  He was working very seriously to put it together and load the blocks onto the cars.

Helping Daddy

I love you Daddy!!
Jackson is Daddy's little helper.
The weed whacker was a bit too heavy
But the earphones fit!

Beaches

Checking out the dolphins from the shore:
When we saw this sign:
We decided not to get in the water here:

Fun times at the pool

Who says the kiddie pool is just for kids?

Here are pictures of the beautiful places where we stayed.

Sleeping Giant

One of the big sites in Kauai is the "sleeping giant".  These mountains appear to be an Indian sleeping on his back.  Can you see it?  Most of it is his body, then chest, then you see his mouth and nose, then his feathers extending out into the water from the top of his head.  Here are a few different views of it from around the island.

Take a hike

If you're going to take a hike, I'd suggest taking it along the Napali Coast in Kauai.  How beautiful is this?  We had a wonderful time hiking in the morning to a waterfall (see next post) with views of the ocean, mountains, and amazing scenery.  Best of all...no bugs!

These are all pictures of the waterfall we hiked to.  Then, we swam at the base of it.  It was CHILLY!!  But definitely worth it.

Paradise

We just returned from Hawaii - our favorite place on earth!  Here are some pictures of Dan and I and Chris and Jamie.  Nothing like spending time in paradise with your close friends!  A special thank you to Grandma and Grandpa for making it possible to get away!

Our first dinner out.

We decided to make a rule that we had to sit in the hot tub under the stars every night!

We drove around on the island when it was cloudy one morning.  We learned it was "vog", created by volcanic activity on the big island.

On our way to find another beautiful beach.

Delicious dinner on the terrace of the Princeville at sunset.

Doors...no problem

There have been a few conflicts (and accidents!) since Jackson learned how to open doors on his own.  We were a bit too slow in getting the doorknob covers.  He loved being able to help himself to the pantry, or Larry's food and water, whenever he pleased.  (now we have the covers!)

Jackson Boy

Here are a few pictures of Jackson Boy over the last month or so:

Finally, someone to help with the dishes!

Yay!  Summer!
